My role as a project manager in Apptension includes managing software development teams, facilitating both internal and client meetings, managing client communication as well as helping with the coordination of sales activities and project workshops. Even though the position is not fully technical, I utilize my technical knowledge whenever possible and it helps grasping the project requirements better and providing a clearer picture to the clients.

I work part time as the head of development for an e-learning startup in New Zealand called Immersive solutions. My work consists of managing a small development team and providing & proposing technical solutions for variety of e-learning projects carried out by the company including interesting VR/AR projects, web based induction journeys or mobile experiences.

Just after I left Infratech in 2011 I opened my own company. At first I took some remaining work from Infratech as a contractor. After that I started to look for other projects to work on. My biggest clients include Master Destek which is an insurance process outsourcing company in Turkey. I have created a recourse management system that's still used by the entire organization to manage their day to day recourse activities, policy files. This software is being used both internally and externally by clients, lawyers and other contractors.

I worked on other relatively smaller sized projects. I have done projects for the clients in Spain, UK, France, Norway, New Zealand.
I moved to Poland in 2013 and just before that I started working full time for Eigital - Ideatree.
My company is active since 2011 and since October 2018 I am working with both Apptension and Immersive as a contractor.

Ideatree is an umbrella company that is creating, investing and mentoring several startups under its wings. Initially I was hired to work at a digital media company called Eigital under Ideatree. Eigital has a wide portfolio of websites and apps. Our main focus was on mobile apps and client websites. I have successfully managed and took live several projects.

Later I was moved to another startup called ePaisa. ePaisa is a mobile POS solution focused primarily on Indian market. Our goal is to grow the ePaisa product, make integrations with several card readers and POS devices. I have been directly involved in structuring the second version of the system, managing the teams and get ePaisa PCI certified.

Mainly, I was responsible for all the development work carried out under Ideatree that spans to several projects and geographically divided teams.

After completing my military training (mandatory in Turkey) I started working at Infratech. Infratech was a software company with their flagship product called Spectra that was based on ITIL v2 and v3 specifications.
Spectra was widely used among big corporations and governmental organisations including Ak Sigorta, Kuveyt Turk, Oyak and SGK.

I started as a software developer and in 2009 I was promoted to Project Manager and I managed more than 25 different projects. During that time I got certified with ITIL v3 and ISO 20k. Just after I resigned from my position I passed the test and received my PMP certificate.

Magicbox is an audio-visual company providing technical equipment and support for both national and international conferences and events. During my time working there I created software to display the event schedule on LCD screens that were scattered around the conference hall and for managing the visual changes remotely.

Spectra

Spectra is an ITIL based online Service Management software. Even though its a packaged solution, every company have their specific flows and requirements. This is why Spectra is a framework that can be adapted to many different use cases. My job was to manage the implementation projects, directly communicate with the clients and propose solutions to their requirements. I worked on more than 25 projects for companies including fortune 500 companies in Turkey.

ERP Destek

ERP Destek is an online portal where ERP professionals and companies meet. Companies can publish their projects & requirements and professionals can apply to be considered for the project. This project is developed using pure PHP and I had to create an MVP framework from scratch to separate the development layers properly.

Amira Website

Amira is one of the biggest rice company in the world. Since Amira is publicly traded, during the development of the website I had to make extensive integrations with NASDAQ and I was in close contact with them.

Halil is happily married and a father of a beautiful girl named Lena
His first ever computer was an IBM 80286 with 5.25 inches floppy disk
Started coding when he was in secondary school with Basic language
When he was in high school he was in charge of the computer systems of 4 schools in the area
His passion for electronics is still alive today. He occasionally plays with his Raspberry pi and Arduino
He has played guitar in several bands in his spare time
He is a die-hard Mozart fan, recognises many of his compositions
In the weekends you can find him in his garden growing vegetables
